Tammineni's exit - Is it the beginning of the end for PRP?

When the PRP was launched in August last year, there were a lot of high profile defections from the TDP into Chiranjeevi’s new party. But the one defection that drew the most attention was Tammineni Sitaram’s decision to leave the TDP for the PRP. Less than a year later, the wheel has turned full circle and Tammineni has returned to the TDP. This turn of events reflects very poorly on Chiranjeevi’s total lack of leadership qualities. From the beginning Chiranjeevi was not able to inspire the rank and file of the party and was extremely unsuccessful in projecting it as a viable alternative for the Congress and the TDP. Tammnineni’s comments on Friday saying that the TDP is the only alternative to the Congress should not be brushed away and instead should be taken as an abject lesson in real politics by the PRP think-tank. The Goud camp still insists that there are 5 more key leaders from the PRP who are willing to return to the TDP. If that be the case, one can surely say that this is indeed the beginning of the end for the PRP.
