“Son stroke” rocks assembly

Nara Lokesh and Naidu and Y.Jagan Mohan Reddy figured more prominently in assembly discussions than their illustrious fathers. If anything it was the respective fathers who indulged in taking potshots at their opponent’s sons. The spark was lit by Congress MLA Konda Surekha who quipped that Mr.Naidu’s son was not meritorious enough to get an admission into prestigious schools like Carnegie Melon and Stanford. An enraged Naidu shot back with a statement that “he is not like your CM’s son who came by the return flight when sent abroad for studies.”. This statement, predictably irked Dr YSR and he in turn gave a sarcastic reply stating that “I know many things about your son but I do not want to reveal it all here.” Amidst all this the Satyam-Maytas debate was sidetracked into one of who is a better parent. As the argument progressed a visibly upset Naidu remarked that Lokesh’s father and grandfather were Chief Ministers and Lokesh himself could have availed many of the scholarships that were available.
