AP to seek Central fund for irrigation projects

Hyderabad, Jan 4 : The Andhra Pradesh Government will seek Central grants under a special category for two irrigation projects in the state. 

Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi tomorrow in New Delhi on the sidelines of chief minister's meet on internal security and apprise them of the state's demand, a release said here today. 

He would submit a report to Gandhi on the projects -- Pranahita-Chevella and Polavaram -- and seek funds under Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP).
