The most contentious separate Telangana issue was said to be in the final stags of a breakthrough. The expectations among all political parties in the state, including the TRS shot up considerably after the congress party high command summoned chief minister YS Rajashekar Reddy to Delhi the other day.
But the wily chief minister has managed to outwit the seniors in the congress and pro-Telangana activists by convincing the high command to keep the ‘T’ issue on the back burner.
YSR has now clarified that the party will take a decision on separate Telangana at the appropriate time. He has also ruled out the possibility of moving a resolution on separate Telangana in the assembly on February 2.
So, there is no possibility of the congress taking any decision on separate Telangana before polls and the party is also gearing up to fight the next elections all alone.
