Ramalinga Raju, not too long dined in the finest of restaurants and was ferried around in chauffeur-driven limousines. However he now eats frugal food served to petty criminals and walks barefoot within the jail premises. This new Life in prison is a painful reality that Ramalinga Raju will have to get used to for a long time to come. According to sources in the prison the disgraced ex-chairman has been denied a pillow to rest his head on. He is reportedly keeping a folded blanket under his head and sleeping on the cold bare floor. In a flash, all his finely cultivated political contacts have disappeared off the radar. He has become the proverbial hot potato that nobody wants to touch. Sources in the jail are saying that his only luxury is the small biscuit packets that his doctors smuggle in during their checkups.
