Hyderabad, Jan. 4: After dumping the United Progressive Alliance, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, is now depending on an yagam to be performed by a pontiff (chief purohit), Mr Ramana Rao, from Andhra region. The purohit is from Bhimavaram in West Godavari district.
According to TRS sources, Mr Chandrasekhar Rao would begin this yagam on January 21 at the Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad. It will be completed on February 16. As many as 100 purohits will participate in the programme."The yagam aims to get separate statehood for the region fulfilled," a TRS leader said.
It may be recalled here that the Karnataka minister and the BJP leader Mr Gali Janardhan Reddy is also planning to perform another Yagam for the sake of the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy to win the ensuing elections.
