The comments and criticism of Congress leaders by Pawan Kalyan, Youth wing leader of Praja Rajyam Party has created a furore in political circles. There was furious reaction from the Congress party leaders and its activists went to PRP office to stage a dharna.
In spite of the demand by Congress leaders that Pawan should apologise for his comments, the actor-politicians stuck to his guns and repeated his charges of corruption against them.
Shabbir Ali, Minister for Minority Welfare, is reported to have sent a legal notice to Pawan asking him to apologise or face a suit of defamation. Pawan has earlier stated that he was ready for a legal battle.
A case is said to be filed in the magistrate court of Wanaparthy against Pawan Kalyan by Congress party workers on the alleged insults hurled against their leaders by him.
