Balakrishna’s Mahboobnagar road shows are making news for his controversial remarks. Addressing a gathering in Santi Nagar in Ayuja Mandal, the actor turned politician encouraged people to take law into their own hands, if the police do not respond to their legitimate complaints. As an example the actor cited “Dharmakshetram” a movie in which he starred as a hero and his character does the exact something! He said women who have been molested have the right to kill the molester if the police do not take any action. This remark of Balakrishna is sure to raise the hackles of NGOs in the state who have been opposing even “legitimate” police encounters. It also will cause a lot of embarrassment for Chandrababu Naidu who spoke out against the Warangal encounters and said it was not proper for people in democratic societies to take law into their own hands.
