TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu today demanded a judicial enquiry into the financial affairs of companies floated by Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's son Jaganmohan Reddy.
Talking to reporters during a dharna at the Assembly premises after all the opposition MLAs were suspended from the House, Naidu said, laws of FEMA, SEBI and RBI were grossly violated by Sandur Power and its subsidiaries of the CM's son.
He alleged that the companies were engaged in money laundering and said, "Only a judicial probe can establish facts."
The Congress government got the opposition MLAs suspended from the assembly as they exposed the fraudulent practices of the chief minister's son and the large-scale corruption by the chief minister himself, the opposition leader alleged.
"This is highly atrocious. But, we shall not stop and continue our fight."
The former chief minister alleged that the state government was involved in Satyam Computers' scandal. CPI-M floor leader Nomula Narasimhaiah said it was only to stifle the voice of opposition that government got Opposition MLAs suspended from the House.
"The government has clearly run away from the debate as it stood exposed. We shall raise this issue in Parliament and also petition the President of India seeking that the guilty be brought to book," Narasimhaiah added.
TRS floor leader E Rajendra and CPI leader Ch Venkat Reddy too found fault with the government and denounced the suspension of MLAs from the House.
