The Congress Chief Minister Dr. Y S Rajasekara Reddy gave sufficient hints stating that candidates for 180 seats have been finalized for the 2009 polls. He disclosed during the CLP meet at the assembly hall in front of PCC President D. Srinivas. The CM clearly specified that only one candidate per constituency has been finalized so as to reflect the level of confidence the party has in the selected candidate. The C M reiterated that the coming polls were very crucial and no excuses would be accepted in case f a defeat. The C M also gave assurance that the sitting candidates who were denied seats would be accommodated in a fair and just manner. Dr YSR Reddy observed that the vote share of the Congress is increasing by the day and asked the candidates not to be bothered about the impact of the grand alliance of the opposition parties.
